Volunteers
Hospice EBOP offers community based care for the terminally ill in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. We rely on our dedicated team of volunteers, who provide over 3500 hours per year of service!
We are seeking volunteers in a wide variety of roles: administration, working in the front or back of the Hospice Shop, biographers, patient support, fundraising, gardening.
We have an immediate need for a volunteer who could help us deliver and/or clean patient equipment and/or do handy-man type jobs around Hospice.

Anyone interested in volunteering with Hospice EBOP can attend our monthly volunteer orientation meetings, held on the 1st Tuesday of every month 10am – 12pm.

Hospice Eastern Bay of Plenty are extremely please to be the nominated charity for the NZ Motor Caravan Association Eastern Bay of Plenty Antiques and Collectors Road Show.  This event will be held at the Kawerau Town Hall on 1st and 2nd of June.  Be sure to pop along with those precious items that have been hiding in the back of the cupboard to see what they are worth.  There is only a small valuation fee involved and this goes to Hospice.  If you decide to put your items into the Sunday auction then the 10% auction fee also comes to Hospice.  The Hospice shop have booked a bric-a-brac sales table so it will definitely be worth a visit.

Hospice Awareness week is here again.  We are kicking off the activities by giving something back to our community.  Bring along your family or friends for a professionally taken photo.  Then simply like us on Facebook and download your special moment picture.  Mothers day is Sunday so this is a great opportunity for a special pic with Mum.  There will be a ‘dress up box’, the fabulous team from the Hospice Shop and the chance to win Hospice Shop vouchers to spend or give to Mum.
