Volunteer with Hospice EBOP

Our Volunteers are at the heart of Hospice EBOP

A dedicated team of 50+ volunteers work for Hospice Eastern Bay of Plenty by generously donating their time and special talents on a voluntary basis.   Our volunteers donate over 3,500 hours a year.  This is remarkable in this day and age and we are proud that we attract such a vibrant, willing and capable group of volunteers.

Family Support Team Coordinator Vicki Seamark  is responsible for recruiting and providing  a comprehensive training programme.    Ongoing education and support are provided for everyone.

Our Volunteers assist in all aspects of our Hospice Service, from family support, fundraising, bereavement, gardening, general administration work, and in our Hospice Shop.    The numerous hours of manpower that are given to Hospice save many thousands of dollars.

The roles are varied, but all volunteers share a common commitment to Hospice and the communities in which they live.
