Grant Writer
Hospice Eastern bay of Plenty
Part-time / Contract
Whakatāne, Bay of Plenty, NZ
Your Role
We’re looking for someone to join our admin team on a part time basis. This role is a special role, with one primary focus – applying for grants – making it one of the more special roles here at Hospice EBOP as grant funding is a large part of our annual income.
We’re looking for someone who has an understanding of Hospice and/or non-profit organisations, our need for funding and the ability to put all of that very eloquently into writing. Previous experience in applying for grants would gain you a gold star sticker on your resume printout but it’s not a necessary requirement. We will also put gold star stickers on resume’s that highlight an interest in organisation, or perhaps you have an understanding of NZ’s health care system? Maybe you peruse stationery shops in your spare time, have a favourite font, do you love lists? Do you watch videos on instagram about excel spreadsheets?? When you go on holiday do you pack your suitcase three weeks before you leave, and then again a week before and then one more time the morning you leave??!
If you think this might be you then get it contact, we would love to hear from you! Even if you don’t like excel spreadsheets, or only pack your suitcase the one time, but you think you can nail this job, then give us a call. We’d love to hear from you.
Have we sold it to you yet?
Here’s what we can also offer you...
You would be joining a team full of people from all walks of life and we all love our jobs and each other’s company. We love families. If you have a family (this includes pets), you’re almost expected to share stories of your weekends with us since we’ll be your new work family.
We’re a flexible bunch, some of us can almost do the splits even. But this also means, if you want a Thursday off in June to watch your daughter in a play – then you most likely can. Because we’re flexible in that area too. But mostly proud of the almost splits.
Our work environment is super supportive. The admin team (which you’ll be a part of) is not only there to support the clinical team, but to provide emotional support and cake for the days that aren’t as upbeat.
Oh, and you can get a free flu vaccination on us.
How can you apply?
We’d love to hear from you. Call us on 07 307 2244 to have a chat about the job, or come in for a cup of tea and a chat at 37 Goulstone Road, Whakatāne.
If you just want to get this show on the road, email your CV to our CE – Bryce@hospiceebop.org.nz
