Kia ora - welcome
The Hospice movement is about Living Every Moment, and providing professional and caring palliative care for a person with a life limiting condition, and caring for their family too. We work hard to achieve these goals and have a team of highly-experienced health professionals and management to ensure that happens.
Hospice Eastern Bay of Plenty is a Non-government organisation (NGO) and relies heavily on contracts from our local district health board, as well as the generosity of our sponsors and donors. Above all, our priority has always been, and will always continue to be, our patients and their families.
Hospice EBOP supports patients and their family/whanau to assist the patient to:
be cared for in the place of their choice
live each day as fully as possible
die with dignity in the place of their choice
Whakatane Hospice Shop - temporary site
The Whakatane store is undergoing earthquake strengthening. Our temporary store is at 186 The Strand (the old Smith Sports Shoes shop, opposite BNZ). We expect to move back to the original site mid - December. Thank you for your understanding during this time. The temporary store is a little bit more cosy so we really appreciate regular shoppers helping us keep the shop from overflowing!
