How are Farmers Helping.

Hospice provides compassionate, specialist care for people at the end of life — helping them live every moment with comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Government funding covers less than half of what it takes to keep hospice services running. In 2023–2024, it cost $226 million to provide hospice care across New Zealand — but only $114 million came from government funding. The remaining $112 million had to be raised through donations and community support.

By supporting Hospice at Farmers this Christmas, you’re helping to ensure hospice care remains free for every person who needs it, when they need it most.

How you can help.

Shop at your local Farmers and donate at the till and/or buy a Christmas Bauble for your tree!

All the money raised stays in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and goes directly to your local Hospice so that we can provide end of life care for anyone in our community that needs it.
