What an incredible day! 🌟
It’s not often you get to see so many amazing organisations that keep our community safe, supported, and thriving — all in one place! On Saturday, 8th November, the Whakatāne High School grounds transformed into a vibrant hub of activity, packed with teams who are always ready to lend a hand — whether it’s fighting fires, responding to emergencies, or offering life-changing advice.
It was fantastic to see these organisations come together and give the public a glimpse into the incredible work they do behind the scenes. After all, we don’t usually get the chance to ask, “So how long have you been with Coastguard?” when they’re pulling us out of a sinking boat! 🚤😅
Events like this remind us just how connected, prepared, and supported our community truly is.
A huge thank you to the organisers — Disabilities Resource Centre, Whakatāne High School, Bay of Plenty Regional Council — and everyone else who helped make this event such a success. We’re so proud to have been part of it! ❤️
