What a day at the Whakatāne Golf Club!


Yesterday, the Whakatāne Golf Club hosted the Registered Master Builders Association Golf Tournament, and this year, they kindly chose Hospice Eastern Bay of Plenty as their charity of choice — of course, it was a solid yes from us!


With around 58% of our annual expenditure needing to be raised to keep our services running, every bit of support means the world to us. When we popped in that morning, the cool spring air was buzzing with friendly competition, banter, and the unmistakable smell of sausages — we knew it was going to be a great day, and it absolutely was.


By late afternoon, as the golfing-builders rolled back in, the prizes, auctions and speeches kicked off — and we had the privilege of saying a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved.

Thanks to this incredible golfy-buildery community, the day ended on an absolute high with a whopping $17,766 raised!


We are so grateful to the Master Builders and Whakatāne Golf Club for choosing us. Every dollar will go directly toward providing palliative care for people in our Eastern Bay of Plenty community — where it’s needed most.
