Hospice EBoP continues patient care through Covid-19 Level 4 lock down (18 August 2021)

Throughout Covid-19 Alert Level 4, Hospice EBoP will continue caring for our patients with necessary adaptations to ensure the safety of everyone.

With the nature of this virus and the government's level 4 alert system requirements, patient care may look different but the goal is exactly the same. Hospice EBOP are following the Ministry of Health's guidelines during this time and ensuring all necessary precautions are being put in place to limited the spread of this virus and protect our patients and staff to the best of our ability.

Our main focus is to ensure our community care is continued and supported through ways where physical contact is limited to necessary engagements. Patients requiring palliative care will always receive our support and service, however nurses will discuss options and necessary adaptations to normal visits with you to create a plan for both patient and staff to safely engage with each other. Please contact Hospice EBOP if you have any concerns or would like to discuss yours or your loved ones care.

Our two Hospice shops (Whakatane and Opotiki) are currently closed from Wednesday 18th - Friday 20th August 2021.

Please look after yourselves, mentally, physically and emotionally. If you need support, please do not hesitate to contact us or your support person(s). No one is alone, we are all in this together.
